Summer Goals

Today after church Jon and I sat down with the kids to come up with some goals that they would like to accomplish by the end of summer. It was fun to hear what each of them came up with and what they wanted to accomplish.

Madelyn: Papa and Grandma McCune just called and challenged her to read five chapter book over the summer. She has broken it down by weeks of when she will have to finish each book so she will be done before she heads back to school in august!

Carson: He decided that he would like to learn to read before he heads to Kindergarten! Jon and I both thought was a big task, but we both think that he is ready! We will start with the little red books that Grandma Arnold loaned us when Madelyn started reading and some books we have collected from when Madelyn was in Kindergarten!

Aubrey: Her is goal is to learn to write her name! She finished her first year of preschool , but doesn't write her name, nor does she have much interest in doing it either!

We will see how things go over the summer and if we keep up with these goals!
