Race fans...Start your Engines

Jon bought tickets to take the kids to the Bullring! I had no idea what to expect when we went out to the motor speedway, but the it was great! When we first came in the gates the kids were handed a bag filled with goodies and they were excited to see Mater! It was the coolest car!
This was a dream come true for Carson!
We love Mater!

Carson didn't understand why we drove out to the raceway, but when the little midgets (cars) came out and started racing around his eyes lit up and he was glued to the track!
Aubrey wasn't so sure about the cars! She thought it was too loud!

Between races Aubrey thought it was great to go up and down the bleachers!
Carson waving his checkered flag!
This is one of the midget cars! This was driven by a 15 year old girl, who's parents were sitting behind us! She was leading the pack until another car clipped her from behind!
Carson was impressed with the little midget cars, but when these full size cars came out his eyes got really big! It was hard to believe that there could be so many large cars on the track at once, which it was fairly small, but they did it!

There were awards given out throughout the night from races that happened earlier in the day and the recipients were as young as 8 (and she was a girl)! Carson wants us to get him signed up for racing! It's a pricey sport and I'm not sure if I ready to put our 5 year old behind the wheel! I think we will stick with soccer for now!
Carson and Madelyn had fun watching the races!
One of the cars in this race ran into the water barrel wall and sent water high in the air! That was the most excitement we saw for the night as far as crashes go! We saw several races, but Carson wanted to know when the demolition derby was going to be! I'm sure he would have loved to see cars ramming into each other! We can't wait to go again in August!

How fun! My boys would have been in heaven (Earl included)! We need to visit when Nascar is in town and go together!
