Growing up near a golf course I have memories of taking walks on the golf course, but never swinging a club or playing! My absolute favorite memories are of going with Brad Sanders down on the green and rearranging the "colored balls" near the hole! We were probably 6 or 7 and had no idea the colors meant something, but I'm
sure we ticked some people off!
Saturday night we planned to go to dinner, but our friends, Eric and Sarah, invited us to go with them to the Par 3 course near our house! I was very reluctant to go golfing, but I finally agreed to go and I'm glad we did! The only golfing I have done is miniature golf and golf on the wii, so I was worried about having to drive the ball down the fairway and embarrassing myself!! I was worried the place would be busy and I didn't want to be responsible for any damage done to anyone or anything!
We had a very specific tee time, 5:42 pm, and thought it would be busy, but to our surprise we only saw 3 other golfers the whole 2 hours we were there! When we first started the holes didn't look that far away, so I thought it would be fine. Then they started to get further away as we went! It was ok though, since we were the only ones there we were able to take our time and have fun!! Eric, Sarah, and Jon were very patient and helpful as I struggled through some of the holes! The weather was absolutely wonderful, a little breeze and cool temperatures, which made perfect for an evening of golfing!

Me practicing my swing! I'll have to work on that form! It wasn't until we got to the last hole that I started to get it! I got the ball off the ground , into the air, and right into a sand pit, but I got it out on the first try! I think my brothers would be proud!
Overall it was a great night and I will definitely go golfing again!
(Thanks Sarah for taking these pictures so I could document this date!)
