Jon took a whole week off of work for us to go to Disneyland, so we decided to go to Lompoc before we headed to Disneyland. We left Friday afternoon and made pretty good time! As we were driving through the Santa Barbara area we got a call from Miranda and "Aunt Jordan". They were calling to tell us they were officially engaged! They passed through Vegas last weekend and Aubrey called him "Auntie Jordan"! Our kids had so much fun climbing on him and he happily played along with them! We are excited for their wedding in November in the St. George Temple.
In Lompoc we stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Arnold, but also spent a lot of time with Uncle Jared, Auntie Annette and their kids! Carson can't get enough of Brad and they had so much fun playing! They played baseball, Mario Kart, Legos, and practiced their Jedi moves!
Interrupting their game!
Madelyn and Alexa playing together!
Before we left Sunday night, the kids pulled out the light sabers and had to do a battle! Brad told Carson all about getting to fight Darth Vader in the Jedi Training at Disneyland. Carson is looking forward to going to Disneyland so he can do the Jedi Training too!
Madelyn showing off her moves!
Carson and Brad battling and Aubrey trying to figure out how to "activate" the light saber!
Before we headed down to Disneyland Monday morning, Jon and Nic put in a drip for Grandma Arnold's plants. While they ran to Home Depot and worked on that project the kids had fun playing in Grandpa Arnold's squad car and took turns riding around the block in it!
Carson and Grandpa Arnold taking a ride!
Jon brought these home after their First run to Home Depot! We can't go to Lompoc without stopping at Foster's Donuts and getting some chocolate rolls! They are so yummy!
I also walked to kids over to Falcon Park when Jon had to run back to Home Depot! When I was a kid and use to go to Morag's house we would ride bikes down to Falcon Park to play! Things have changed a lot since the last time we went to this park, hardly anything to play on!
This is all there is to play on anymore! When I use to go to this park there was a little play structure and a tire swing, a slide and other things to play on!

What has happened to our fun park. Times they are a changing, and we are all getting old.
I can't believe they took everything out of that park. It must be somewhat recent. The play structure was there a few years back when we visited. Remember the tire swing?!
