Disneyland Day 2!

Today we started out riding down under with Nemo! It was a little bit of a wait, but it was fun and the kids enjoyed it!
We finished Nemo just in time to head over to the Jedi Training! Carson saw this on the Disney planning DVD and has had his heart set on fighting Darth Vader ever since! We kept telling him that the Jedi Master only picks so many kids and there is a chance he wouldn't get to do it! We'll when the Jedi Master came out and started picking kids I put Carson on my shoulders! When there were only a few spots left so I started jumping up and down, with Carson still on my shoulders, and he got picked! He was so excited!
Getting prepared to receive his "practice" light saber!
Darth Mal and Darth Vader came to try and get them to go to the dark side!
Storm Troopers!
Carson fighting Darth Vader!
The Jedi Master presenting the graduates of the Jedi training class prior to giving them their diplomas!

I can't believe it, but we were able to get Aubrey on Space Mountain! Again she had to ride with Aunt Tammy, but she did it! The whole time we were on the ride I thought she was crying and I couldn't help but think we were the meanest parents for making her ride it! But when the ride ended Aubrey was smiling, but told us she didn't want to ride it again!
Proof that we all rode Space Mountain!

Autopia is another ride that the kids were excited to ride! I rode with Aubrey, she was behind the wheel and I controlled to gas! It is a good thing we don't have to worry about her getting her driver's license anytime soon, she was all over the place! Carson rode with Jon and he said that Carson was pretty smooth driver! Carson takes cars very serious! Madelyn rode with Nic and I'm sure she was crazy too!
Half way through the track Aubrey decided she didn't want to drive any more! It was hard to steer and control the gas with my left foot!
Jon and Carson in the traffic jam, it was worse than the 405!
Since we started planning our trip the kids couldn't stop talking about riding on the Tea Cups with Grandpa! Madelyn and Carson went with Grandpa and Uncle Nic while Aubrey and I went with Aunt Tammy and Andrew! I don't know why Jon didn't go with us?
Before they got spinning!
Aubrey tried to spin us, but we were pretty slow since we had Andrew with us!

Disneyland wouldn't be complete without riding Small World! Again, Aubrey was convinced there was a big drop on this ride, but we let her know there was nothing to worry about! It was bright and cheerful and the kids came off the boat singing!
I never noticed all the Disney stories that are in Small World! We also made it over to Toontown to ride the Roger Rabbit ride and Gadget's roller coaster! We didn't stop into visit any of the houses, but we did see Goofy and Pluto!

We headed over to California Adventure this afternoon! As we entered the park the High School Musical 3 parade was going on! Aubrey and Madelyn got out and sang and dance like it was no ones business!
We also ran into Carson's favorite friends, Mater and McQueen!
We went on Soaring over California and the kids loved it! Madelyn wanted to ride the Hollywood Tower of Terror so we did! All of us!
I think this picture says it all! It scared the kids! I didn't like it either! Needless to say we didn't head back there and anytime someone mentioned Tower of Terror all 3 of them would yell "NO!"

After scarring the kids to death we took them over to see Mike and Sully! That ride was more their speed!

We also ran back over to Splash Mountain and we all rode it, including Aubrey! (She sat in the back next to me!) I think this is Madelyn and Carson's favorite ride! It was Madelyn's 3rd time riding and the second for Carson!
Aubrey is in the back on the right!

We ran back to California for Grizzly Rapids, but Aubrey and I decided to sit this one out! I'm glad we did too! Carson and Madelyn we soaked and the sun was going down and it was starting to cool off, but it gave them an excuse to wear their new Disney sweatshirts!
Our last ride of the day was the new Toy Story Mania, which actually was our second time riding it today! It is the funnest ride and we could have ridden it all day! I think this might be my new favorite! The lines for this ride were the longest that we have had to wait in, but the kids handled it better than I expected! Carson was a great sport and made friends with kids while we waited in line! He started talking to a little 5 year old girl and they ended up playing Rock, Paper, Scissors to pass the time in line! It was quite comical to see a little girl who was as competitive as Carson in that game!

The last activity for the night was the Electrical Parade! It was so fun to watch the kids eyes light up and yell the names of the characters as they walked by!
Madelyn and Carson waiting for the parade to start!
The music is the same as I remembered it as a kid!
Cinderella! Aubrey was yelling her name so loud, but didn't quite understand why Cinderella couldn't hear her!
An original, Pete's Dragon!
Aubrey enjoying the parade!
The fireworks as we closed the park!

I showed Braden the video clip of Carson and he was mesmerized. I'm sure he told everyone in his class today that his cousin fought Darth Vader. He told me that he wants to go to Disneyland and do the same thing as Carson. He wanted to know if we can go after school and that he would just watch a movie on the way there. Oh, and I would stay home with Lily since she was too little to go. He wants to call Carson since he has a million questions to ask so expect a phone call sometime this evening.
Looks like you had a fabulous vacation. You've convinced me that we need to take our kids in a few years.
