Mother's Day Tea with Carson!

This morning I was able to attend the Mother's Day Tea with Carson!  It was a little hectic getting there, but we made it just in time for the Mystery Mom game!  Here is what Carson said about me:

What is your Mom's favorite color?  Green
What does your Mom cook the very best?  Macaroni and Cheese
How old is your Mom?  29
What color is your Mom's hair?  Brown
What is the funniest thing your Mom does?  Plays card games
Why do you love your Mom?  Because it's Mother's Day
If you could give your Mom any gift what would it be?  Card games
Mom's name?  Kim

I was surprised there was no reference to the wii with any of his answers!

The kids sang their ABC's, Going on a Bear Hunt, Mother Dear I love you So, and their snack song!  Carson sang his little heart out and really got into the actions, especially on the Bear Hunt song!
Going on a Bear Hunt!
Mother, Dear I Love You So!  Lots of actions!

The kids also made paper plate faces of their moms!  The moms had to pick out which one was them.  I looked at all the dark yarn and didn't see one that would looked like Carson's work.  Then one of the other mom's said, "I think I picked yours!"  I looked at the face and she was right!  Carson, being a creative genius, pulled the yarn strands apart to make it look curly!  Good job Carson, I love it!  Thank you Carson for a fun day at your school!  You are such a sweetie!  I love you!

Lately Aubrey has been into singing songs!  I love when she comes home for church and attempts to sing the songs they are learning in Primary!  I usually have to listen carefully to the words, so I can figure out what song she is singing.  I think her favorite is the "Hello, Hello" Primary song.  She will walk around the house just singing "Hello, Hello, Hello, Hello"!  It is even funnier when she makes up songs!  She cracks me up!
Today, while I was making lunch for Aubrey and Carson they started to sing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star", but Aubrey had to make it her own.  "Twinkle, Twinkle little star how I wonder what you want!"

Mothers Day with little ones is so fun! One of the things Darbilyn said about me at this age was, "I love my mom even though she yells at me a lot." One of my "proud" moments as a mom! =)
