After a long 5+ hours of driving with 5 kids in the car, our caravan made it to the San Diego Harbor for our cruise! Getting on the boat was a breeze! We are on the Carnival Elation and will be on the boat for 5 days!

Once we were on board we headed to Lido deck for some lunch! Shortly after that we had our fire drill and then stopped to watch as we pushed out of the harbor!
Most of the day was spent exploring the ship, getting the kids registered for Camp Carnival and eating! Our cabin was right next door to Nate and Jen's and a hallway away from Jon's parents. Dinner in the main dinning room was nice as we were all at the same table! Our waiters were Ketut (from the Philippines)and Gede (from Indonesia). They even had kids menus for the kids and took care of them first.
After dinner we took our kids to get registered at Camp Carnival. Registration was at the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde Disco Lounge. The kids were able to meet the other kids and play games! They were so excited about all the fun activities they could participate in while on board.
It was a long first day, but we are excited to be here! The kids thought the elephant towel on the bed when we returned to our room was awesome!
