Madelyn had Friday off from school and Jared had an extra ticket to the USC football game on Saturday, so we took a few days and headed for Southern California to visit our favorite Beagle!
We Love Snoopy!
Carson and Madelyn giving Snoopy some love! On the last day just before we left I finally got Aubrey to go and give Snoopy a hug (too bad the batteries in the camera were dead)!
Jon and Aubrey on Joe Cool's Great Skate! Aubrey still loves Lucy's Tugboat and she did try the kiddie coaster and the Log Ride again, but she still doesn't like them!
This is the closest Carson got to riding the Pony Express! I wish he was about 3 inches taller so he could ride all the rides with Madelyn!
Knott's was having a Halloween Trick or Treat Activity for the kids while we were there. They received a treasure map and a bag to collect all their Pirate gear and candy! The kids were more into find the treasure then riding the rides! Madelyn found a new ride that she loves, the Revolution, she rode it 5 times! I think next time we go she is on her own for that one! Crazy Ride!
While USC is not Jon's first love, he still enjoys watching them play and he spent Saturday night with my brother's at the USC football game. I thought Oregon was going to give USC a run for their money, but their lead was short lived! Go Trojans! (Jon did get to watch BYU vs USU on the internet at the hotel after our day at Knott's! 34-14 Another victory for the Cougars!)
Back to Reality! Monday brought an early morning and long day for Jon. Monday is my long day at school and that leaves Jon home with the kids (Madelyn is on track break right now so he has all the kids!) I think the kids enjoy spending Mondays with Jon because he usually treats them to McDonald's! Carson and Aubrey were also excited to find a package in the mail from Grandma and Papa McCune, it was their Halloween pillowcases! The kids really enjoy getting the mail and when there is something with their name on it, it is even more exciting! Thanks Morag for the pillowcases! The kids love them and had to put them on their pillows right away!
Today, Tuesday, I was looking at Uncle Nic and Aunt Tammy's blog and Madelyn saw that they were asking for predictions on when Andrew would be born. Madelyn wanted to leave her predictions, so I agreed. I asked her the questions in which she thoughtfully answered each of them. I asked for her last prediction, which was if Andrew would have hair or no hair, Madelyn quickly replied, "Was Uncle Nic a 'hairy' or a 'baldy'"? I couldn't help but laugh a little! Gotta love the funny things kids say!

What a fun weekend! I haven't been to knotts since I was probably Madelyns age! Looks like it's changed and so much fun!
Glad you had such a great time! We can't wait to go next month. Thanks for emailing me that recipe. How's Seminary going for Jon?
