Let early morning Seminary begin!

Last night Jon was set apart to teach seminary in our stake. Bro. Randy Richards set him apart and the kids behaved so well while we waited and during the setting apart. Jon is going to do a great job with the youth that he teaches and I know that our family will be blessed for all the time and effort he puts into this new calling!

As I mentioned before, seminary starts at 5:45 am and he leaves our house at 5:10 am. He will officially start teaching the sophomore class, which has about 15 students, on Monday and was released from his other calling as the first counselor in the Elders Quorum Presidency. It will take a little time to get use to the alarm going off at 4:45 am, but it will be worth it (easy for me to say I know, since I won't be the one getting out of bed at that time!)!

I am now serving in the nursery in our ward. I am not sure if it is a good thing or a bad thing. I love working with the little kids in our ward, but there is one little girl that has become a little clingy, Aubrey! She has never had a problem going to nursery, but now she thinks she needs to sit on my lap the whole time and if I go into the other room without her, she has a fit! I guess it is a good thing that she will be a Sunbeam in January!

I had the same problem with Jackson when he was in Nursery. I had to tell them I couldn't substitute anymore.

I really don't think they should have parents with children in the nursery, serve in the nursery! Unless you have a child like mine who has never gone to nursery without me...then I could see it!
I am sorry!

Wow Jon, if there's ever been a reason to move back to Utah, this has to be it. Early morning seminary? Man I'm glad that here in Utah it is a profession, rather than a calling :) You couldn't pay me enough to be out of bed by 5 every morning! Forget the blessings, I need my sleep! LOL!

Oh... and GO COUGARS!

Jon,we know that you will be an excellent seminary teacher. The kids are blessed to have you. It seems like just yesterday that you were the seminary student...
This will be such a blessing to you and your family as you diligently study the scriptures and share gospel messages with your little ones and Kim. You are in our prayers-always.
