This is not an activity I enjoy! I am not a morning person, but this morning we were up before the sun and were to the old Stake Center just as the skies were changing to beautiful shades of purple, pink, and orange! We were all going to help make breakfast for all the seminary students that attend the Rancho Seminary! Our family and Bro. Scow and his family, all arrived at the church about 5:15am. We we were surprised to find the tables and chairs had been set up the day before by some of the students and we were able to quickly get down to business of making breakfast! Seminary usually starts at 5:45am, but I was surprised when kids started arriving just after 5:30am!
We had eggs, bacon, pancakes, hash browns, coffee cake, fruit, milk, and juice for them! It was a little hectic in the kitchen, but we were able to get it all done and had them all feed before they had to leave for school at 6:30! I was a little worried that we might get stood up, since yesterday was the official last day of seminary, but we feed 40 kids! I am in awe of these students that are at seminary five days a week at 5:45 in the morning, and I complained about seminary starting at 6:30am! I am also thankful for Jon and his dedication to these students and getting up every morning to teach them! I don't know how he was able to do it week after week for the past two years, but I know that our family has received many blessings for his service and sacrifie!

I am sure Jon is ready for the summer! I can't imagine getting up that early every day.
That's awesome. Didn't you take a picture of the sunrise to document that you did in fact get up that early? I hope so. :)
Of course I forgot it, Nancy! I put it out to take it with us, but then I left it on the dresser!
Congratulations Jon on completing another year of teaching Seminary!
You will never know the full impact of the good work you have done. Thank-you for your dedication and influence for good to the great youth of the Church!
Love You!
