We didn't even know about the Judge Dahl's Art Contest until we received a message that Madelyn was a finalist in the contest. Last night we attended the North Las Vegas City Council meeting where all the finalist received awards. This contest has taken place for the past 15 years and is open to all school children in the city of North Las Vegas. This year they had the largest number of entries and Madelyn's category (3rd and 4th grade) had the most entries. The theme for this year was "Every Picture Tells a Story". Madelyn's created a picture of a dragonfly using crayons and watercolor! Madelyn was surprised to take home the trophy for First Place in the 3rd and 4th grade category and was so excited to receive a trophy!
