Christmas Eve!

Christmas Eve day was a busy day! In the morning Jon took Madelyn and Carson snowmobiling at Strawberry Reservoir with my dad and some of our gang! They we gone most of the morning and I forgot to send the camera with Jon, but figured he might be too busy with the kids, so I stoles these pictures from Jared and Annette's blog!

Since I have enough snowmobiling memories to last a life time, I decided to stay back at the house to watch Aubrey, play in the snow, and just hang out! Aubrey had fun playing out in the snow! It was mostly her, Tyson, Ethan, Aunt Jen, and I trying to find a place for them to sled. I thought I found a pretty good spot and it worked a few times for me, but when Ethan tried it out he busted his lip! That ended that! Tyson and Aubrey decided to try out the swing set and found joy in just going down the little slide!

Then after we had enough of the cold, we went inside to do the crafts that Grandma brought for the kids to do. There a picture frame, a snowman, and two different necklaces for the kids to make! They had so much fun!

Christmas Eve we had the kids act out the Nativity! Each of the kids had part and Grandma made most of the costumes! Madelyn was a Wise man, Carson was a Camel, and Aubrey was an Angel! The four oldest cousins were the narrators and all the other kids drew their part! Each of the kids were so excited about the part they got and everyone did a great job!

After the Nativity the kids got into their new pj's and we did the cousin's gift exchange! I think our kids were more excited about giving their gifts, than receiving theirs! Each of our kids really thought about what they wanted to give their cousins and really thought they would love their gifts!

Taylor had Aubrey and she gave her a Littlest Pet Shop set!

Madison had Madelyn and gave her a wallet and a soft blanket with her name on it!

Aubrey had Emmalee, which was hard for me to shop for! I usually let the kids decide with out much help, but Aubrey really wanted to give her nail polish and lip gloss! So after much searching and compromise, we found a cute makeup bag and put a french manicure kit and hair clips in it! Carson had Tyson and he insisted getting him Cars Legos! Madelyn had Ethan and she thought he would like Legos, so we found him a set that I hoped he hadn't gotten for his birthday last month!

Then we got everyone tucked in their beds in hopes that St. Nick soon be there!
