Thursday, Jason came and watched the kids allowing me to go to an earlier lab so we could get on the road before 10pm! We were on our way to Provo for Miranda's graduation from BYU, but we stayed at my parents in St. George Thursday night! I asked my parents if they would watch our kids and they were more than willing to keep them while we continued on to Provo. Jason came along with us so he could see Mark and Jocie.

After the graduation we headed to Salt lake for dinner at the Roof Top Restaurant at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. The food was yummy, the company was great and the view of the Salt Lake Temple was amazing! It was nice to be out to a nice dinner and not worry about our kids!

The Capital building from our table!

Picture of the Salt Lake Temple from inside the restaurant, hence the reflection in the glass!

After dinner we saw the Joseph Smith movie in the Legacy Theater and took pictures of the Salt Lake Temple. Here we are on the newlywed stump! I was freezing and it was starting to rain!
Saturday we took the opportunity to go to a session at the Salt Lake Temple! It was the first time that I have done a session at this Temple, the second time for Jon. It was a neat experience to do a live session! The temple was buzzing with lots of couples getting married and it was fun to see all the beautiful brides! (Brought back memories of our wedding day and getting ready in the Bride's room! I have to say, I think the San Diego has the most beautiful "Brides" room!) When we went into the temple the sky was clearing and it looked like it was going to warm up, but that's not the case when we were leaving! There were a few upset brides in the entry trying to figure out what to, since it was raining pretty good now!
After the temple we were able to meet up with Pierre, Kristy and their cute little girls, Belle and Sydney! Belle is a cute big sister and the keeper of the binkies! She keeps them in her pocket and gets them one out and shoves one into Sydney's mouth at the smallest little squirm! So cute!
Then we ran up to Fruit Heights to meet up with Jon's parents and to see Grandma Parrish's house. We hadn't been there since she passed away last summer. The house has been on the market for a while, but a flood in January took it off the market while the repairs were being made. The house looks very different now with a lot of new carpet and beautiful new/restored wood floors!
For dinner we met up with Lane and Kelly, Jon's old mission companion and his girlfriend. We went to the Cheesecake Factory in Murray. Can't go wrong with Cheesecake, but we ate too much! After dinner we met back up with Jon's parents before we headed back to Julianne and Andy's house.
This is the newest temple in Utah, the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. It is almost complete, with the open house this summer! We stopped to look at it on our way to Mark and Jocie's house, the temple is between their house and Julianne and Andy's house! It is a beautiful temple!

Sunday morning we woke up and headed back to St. George to pick up the kids and then return to Vegas. When we got to the parents house, the kids didn't want to leave! Grandma was washing some of their clothes, so we were able to hang out at their house for a little bit! The kids told us all about playing in the play room, watching movies, coloring, swimming, shopping, playing wii, playing with cousins, going to Red Robbin, doing hair and so many other things! Carson really wanted to stay and even tried to hide in the playroom! He had to be taken to the car, kicking and screaming! I think the kids probably wore Grandma and Papa out because I know the kids were worn out!
I went into Aubrey's room to give her some cough medicine at 11pm and she wasn't in her bed! She wasn't anywhere to be found in her room, Carson's room or the loft! Scared me for a minute, but I found her on the other side of the gate sleeping on the stairs! I'm not sure what she was doing, but I had to take a picture for proof!
