Happy Birthday Bob!

Aubrey turned 5 on Sunday, but it turned into a 3 day long celebration! When Morag brought the kids home on Saturday afternoon Aubrey insisted on opening the presents from her and Papa McCune. She was so excited for the new clothes, money, and Fancy Nancy gift card to Barnes and Noble!
This girls LOVES Fancy Nancy and everything girlie! (She thinks she wants to grow her bangs out, but I still haven't decided if I am ready for that!)
Aubrey has been wanting this dress for months! Grandma McCune bought it for Angese's niece and Aubrey thought she needed it to and Grandma came through!
Along with some watermelon sunglasses and hair barrettes to go with the clothes!

Since we now have church at 1:30pm we let Aubrey open her presents before church! I think she was most excited about the bubble gun we gave her and more clothes from Grandpa and Grandma Arnold!

After church I caught her upstairs with all her new clothes playing store! Yes, this girl loves to shop!
At the last minute Aubrey decided she wanted a Nemo cake! I had enough food coloring to make the cake orange, but not enough for frosting! So we held off finishing the cake until Monday, giving me time to get food coloring and figure out how to make a Nemo cake! I found a recipe for fondant online and decided to give it a try! It was easy to make, but a pain to work with! The plan didn't quite work out as planned, so we just went with waves around the cake and bubbles on top with a big 5! I can't wait to try another cake with fondant, but I think I will stick with simple shapes and start earlier on it!
And we didn't have candles, so we settled for a skewer!
The "Nemo" inside of her cake! Happy Birthday Aubrey! It's hard to believe you are 5 already and headed to Kindergarten at the end of the month! You are so independent, spunky, and sweet all rolled into one! Thanks for always making us smile! We love you "Bob"!

Did you make it look like a fish inside on purpose or are we all seeing a fish that is really a swirl? AMAZING!!!!!
