Madelyn's 9!

Earlier in the week Papa and Grandma McCune called to see if we would be home this weekend so they could come down and bring Madelyn her birthday presents and celebrate her 9th birthday! The plan was to go to lunch with Uncle Sean and Auntie Megan and then go ice skating, but ice skating ended earlier than we thought! Even though we weren't able to skating we still were able to spend some time with Grandma and Papa and celebrate Madelyn and Papa's Birthday!
Madelyn showing off her new clothes from Grandma and Papa! Grandma McCune also brought Madelyn's baby blanket back to us! It is one that she quilted for Madelyn when she was born, but Madelyn "loved" it to death and it was falling apart! Grandma took it apart and added new batting and tied it with cute pink ribbon and put a new binding on it! I think it wil be going on the wall now!
Aubrey being her silly self!

We couldn't celebrate without doing something for Papa! Madelyn is so lucky to share a birthday with him!
My dad got a kick out of the gift we gave him, electronic Freecell! He loves to play this game and now he doesn't have to be at the computer to play it!
We also gave my parents a scrapbook with pictures from Christmas in Heber!
Carson convinced Grandma to play some NCAA Football on the wii!
Saturday we let the birthday girl decide on a place for dinner! She chose to go to Olive Garden! After dinner we went to Barnes and Noble to use the gift certificates Madelyn and Carson got for their birthdays! I love that the kids were able to choose what books they wanted to buy, but didn't think it would so hard to choose!

We made Madelyn wait until Sunday, her actual birthday, to open the presents from us! She was so excited and hated that we made her wait until after church!
A new Digi game!
The newest edition to the Pet Shop collection! She also got a card and money from Grandpa and Grandma Arnold and received a lot of phone calls from everyone!
Littlest Pet Shop cake!
She wanted a Littlest Pet Shop cake, so that's what she got! But she was quick to say it was no "Cake Boss" cake! Yes this cake could use some help in the decorating department, but I think it turned out cute!

It's hard to believe that Madelyn is 9 already! We are so thankful that she is a part of out family! Happy Birthday Madelyn!
