Since the kids had a 4 day weekend, Friday was for Nevada Day and Monday was a staff development day, we decided to head down to...
We headed down Friday morning and after a few stops we made it to the park just after 6! The kids were so excited to see all the Halloween decorations and Disney Magic! We didn't stay too late, so we could get to the park early on Halloween!
Aubrey getting excited on our first ride, the tram from the parking garage to the park!
Disney doesn't miss a thing when it comes to details! Even the drive from the parking garage to the park was decorated for Halloween!
We stopped at California Adventure first!
Then went over to the Magic Kingdom! Truly amazing decorations everywhere! We saw lot of characters dressed in costumes! Mickey a Count, Minnie a Witch, Donald a Pumpkin, Goofy a Skeleton, and Chip 'n Dale were a Cop and Robber! They were so cute, but we weren't able to get pictures with any of them!
Carson's favorite, Star Tours!
The Haunted Mansion was all decorated with the Nightmare Before Christmas theme! We all agreed they should keep it this way all year long!
Waiting in line for the Haunted Mansion, Aubrey wanted me to take a picture of her. When Carson decided to be in the picture she got upset and I ended up with this...
Carson Happy and Aubrey...
Pouting! I saw more pouting on this trip than I would have liked! A lady in line asked Aubrey, "how can you be sad? This is the happiest place on Earth!"
Inside the ride
On to Toontown and Roger Rabbit!
The pumpkins lit up at night when you come in the gates!
Sleeping Beauties Castle, waiting for the fireworks to begin! It was an amazing 15 minute show in the sky with Halloween music, Disney villains and lots of fireworks!
Sunday morning we spent a few hours at the Magic Kingdom! We started at the giant Mickey pumpkin!
On to Fantasyland!
After a few hours we headed back to our hotel room to have the kids take a nap and then head to Ventura to have dinner with Jon's parents. After dinner we headed back to the park to see the firework show again and so Carson could ride Space Mountain! Then we decided to just stay and play since the park was empty!
Aubrey insisted on riding BuzzLightyear's Astro Blaster by herself!
Carson took the game seriously!
Jon just wanted to beat me!
We stopped at Pixie Hollow, but Tinkerbell had already gone to bed!
Our kids always want to ride Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, but the line is always so long! Sunday night it was short, so we waited!
Last, but not least, Pirates of the Caribbean!
Monday was our last day, so we decided to start at California Adventure! It was dead! We hit the Grizzly Rapids, Mulholland Madness, the Ferris Wheel, Toy Story Mania, Tower of Terror and Monsters Inc! We also saw lots of characters!
Jessie
Max
Snow White and Dopey!
We finished what we wanted to do there in a few short hours, so then we went over to the Magic Kingdom for one last ride on the Matterhorn! Then we rode the bus back to the front of the park!
Goodbye for now, but we will be back again soon! Can't wait to see how they decorate for Christmas!

Looks like a fun weekend. Are you going again at Christmas time?
Man I am so jealous. Halloween is my most favorite time of the year, and I would love to go at Halloween time. Maybe next year - this year I was in the ER with Brandon stitching up his hand. :( Looks like you guys had lots and lots of fun though!
So jealous! I seriously need to get my butt there, it's been way to long! Thank you for the birthday candy by the way. I think I am high on taffy!!! :)
