We spent the weekend in St. George so we could celebrate the sealing of Miranda and Jordan on November 21, 2009! It was a very busy day, but we all had a great time! It was a white wedding in the East Sealing Room, all 5 generations of Jordan's family have been sealed in that sealing room! (I think he said 5 generations or maybe it was 6!?) The sealing room was filled with 105 people who had come to share in their special day. The sealing was at 11:20 in the morning and then there was a luncheon after that followed by a reception that evening!
Mr. & Mrs. Jordan Hastings!
The luncheon at the Bell Tower Reception Center
Not quite sure what made Madelyn make this face!
The Grandkids with Grandpa & Grandma and the Happy couple!
Josh, Nate and Cole!
Jon put Andrew to sleep! He has the special touch when it comes to getting that boy to sleep! I think he has done this a few times!
The Reception
Our family!
Carson said he was "guarding" the door!
Aubrey and her best friend Elizabeth! Elizabeth is one of Miranda's roommates and has stayed at our house before! Aubrey was Elizabeth's shadow all day! Since Aubrey found out that Miranda and Jordan were getting married she started calling him "Auntie" Jordan! We asked her on the way to the luncheon why she calls him "Auntie" and she said, "Mimi is an Aunt and so Jordan is an Auntie!" Gotta love the mind of a four year old!
All the Arnold Grandkids!
The wedding cake! Jordan's cousin made it! It had a strawberry top, lemon poppy seed middle, and pumpkin chocolate bottom! Miranda and Jordan cut the cake, but they didn't touch the rest of the cake!
Carson enjoying the marshmallows and other goodies!
The Hastings' first dance!
Dancing! A few weeks before the wedding Carson and Aubrey started "ballroom" dancing together, they even did the dip! I was hoping that they would dance together at the reception, but I couldn't get them to do it!
By the end of the night Aubrey was done! She took her flowers off her head and threw them on the ground and pouted! Too bad we still had to take some family pictures after this tantrum! We are excited to have "Auntie" Jordan be a part of the family!
After the reception the kids and I went back to my parents house and crashed in the theater! I'm not sure how quick the kids were out, because I know I was out before the opening credits were done!
