First Trimester Awards

Today was the end of the first trimester awards ceremony at Madelyn's school! She got an award for A-B Honor Roll.

Yesterday I had parent teacher conferences with Madelyn and Carson's teachers.

Madelyn has improved in her reading from 63 word per minute to 99 words per minute. Her math test scores were also up and she is doing better with paying attention and following direction in class. Her teacher also pointed out that she likes to read non-fiction books in class.
Carson's teacher said that he is doing well in class. He recognizes all his letters and numbers, knows all his letter sounds, recognized sight words, is reading and more. She said he has pretty much completed Kindergarten! She just hopes that she is challenging him enough and that he isn't getting bored! She did say that he does need to work on one thing...Coloring! He hates to color! If only that was the only thing I needed to work on!
