We spent the weekend in Arizona with Katie for her Baptism! We left Friday after Jon got done with work and we picked up Jason on the way out of town. We were trusting our Tom Tom to get use to Christine and Kurt's house without any problems! I had called Jennifer back in December to get Christine's address and she said the street was Folano. To which I repeated the name and we both said that it was different. I even sent Madelyn's Baptism invitation and our Christmas card there with no problems. Well, I tried to put Christine's street name in the Tom Tom, but there was no such street name. I called Jason, and he confirmed to me that it was Folano. I just didn't get it.
About an hour into our trip I tried to put the address again, still nothing! Finally we figured out that I was spelling it wrong!! I thought everyone was saying it with an F, but really it was a S, Solano! Can you believe it! I had to call Jennifer to tell her the funny story and I was laughing so hard I was crying!
We finally made it to Christine's and the kids were so excited to see their cousins they stayed up til 1am! (At least Katie and Madelyn did!) Heather, Stephanie, Morag and Dad were there as well and Sean and Megan came on Saturday!
Saturday was a fun day! It started out with Katie's Baptism, Grandma McCune gave her talk on the Holy Ghost, and Kurt Baptized and confirmed Katie. Katie's dress was the same as Madelyn's Baptism dress and they thought that was pretty cool! After the baptism we went back to the house for yummy food and to hang out! They pulled out the water slide and the kids had a blast on it! They played on it for hours!
Later that night we ran to Hobby Lobby, a fun craft/home decor store, where I found some more binders for the kids school scrapbooks (and they were 50% off!)! Then the guys drove over to Glendale to see where the Cardinals play football!
It was a quick trip with Late nights, lots of yummy food and great memories!
