Snow Day in Vegas?

It has been 29 years since Clark County School District declared a Snow Day, but they did it today! Madelyn was a little upset about it since today was the first trimester Awards, but I am sure they will reschedule it after the new year! Madelyn said, "Why is it a snow day? The sun is out and there's no snow!" It didn't make sense to me either, but I guess there were some areas of the valley that received 8" of snow since yesterday afternoon and it's a "safety issue". What do you do when there's a snow day? Craft of course!

This morning I spent most of the morning trying to get our Christmas card done. It took me about an hour to create it, but almost 2 hours to get the file uploaded to Costco! After trying to upload it from my MAC and then from Jon's laptop, I called my sister to see if she could get it to work. I emailed her the file and she got it to work on the first try! I was so frustrated, but happy that I could finally get them printed! I tried to upload the picture here as well and I am having the same problems! Jen, I may need you to try and upload the file to my blog now!

Madelyn is definitely my girl in that she LOVES to craft! She is always asking what kind of projects she can work on! Having her home today helped me to get the presents for the kids teachers done. My friend Sarah showed me these cute magnets she made with her friend Rachael and I thought they would be great little gifts for teachers. Madelyn helped me by painting the wood while I worked on weeding the vinyl to go on it! I think this is the first time that I allowed her to help me with this kind of project, I guess it's the perfectionist in me! I wasn't sure if she was old enough to do it, but she proved that she is and that she can do a good job! Thanks for your help Madelyn!
