This morning was my first day of clinical for my CNA course. I spent 8 hours at the El Jen C.C. with 8 other students from my class. It was a little crazy, but I made it through the day! My duties involved feeding residents, showering and dressing residents, cleaning up residents, taking vitals, laying residents down for naps, and making beds-lots of them! I wouldn't say I feel comfortable yet, but it was my first day. I hope that over the next week I will get to know the residents a little better and get to know their routines, making it easier to be confident in the skills I have been taught to do.
After a long day at the facility, I headed home to get ready for the BYU vs. UNLV football game. Pierre and Kristy came into town for the game and spent the afternoon with Jon and the kids! I met them at Cici's (the kids picked it) for a bite to eat before we headed to the game! It was the perfect night for Football and we had a fun time! Our seats we on the 40 yard line about 14 rows up! To make sure all the BYU fans felt at home, after every First Down Pierre would yell, "Good for another BYU..." and the crowd around us would yell, "First Down!" If you know me, you know how embarrassed I was! It was funny though, when he yelled it and it wasn't a first down! And I think all the fans were on their feet cheering when the UNLV player ran the punt return back for a touch down, which meant everyone in the crowd would get free chicken strips from Raising Canes!! It was a fun night and the Cougars added another win to their season with a final score of 59-21! I can't really remember the last BYU football game I went to, but it brought back a lot of fun memories of going to the games when we lived in Utah and even after we had moved down to Vegas!

I did some volunteering at one of these places when I was in high school and I am still haunted by it. It takes a strong person to do that kind of work so you will be great!!
And I agree it was the perfect weather for a football game!
