We woke up this morning with Carson in our bed, I was so tired I didn't even know he crawled in until Jon woke up for seminary. He came into our bed because he threw up in his bed during the night. This afternoon he came running upstairs saying he was going to throw up, so we rushed into the bathroom. I never know what to do to help in this situation other than rub his back and then cuddle with him when they are finished. After a little rest and a little water he thought he was better, little does he know it's not that easy. A few minutes later he said he thought he was going to throw up again, then he said, "Will you come pat my back? That's what Mom's and Dad's are supposed to do." Of course I obliged and headed to the thrown with him. Thankfully he didn't throw up again, but I hate when my kids are sick like this. I know that I hate it when I am sick with stomach stuff, but it's even worse when the kids have it and I feel helpless! I am hoping that it is only the "24 hour" bug and that he doesn't have the stomach flu!

I hate the helpless feeling as well!! So sweet that he asked you to come pat his back!
I hope Carson wasn't sick for long. we have been dealing with sick kids for awhile now, it isn't fun for them or us. :)
Sorry to hear Carson is sick. I hate cleaning up throw up! I'm always sad when my kids have a stomach bug. There's nothing you can do to stop it. Hopefully it is over with soon and isn't passed on to your girls.
You are a good mommy!
