July 2008

July 4th weekend
The kids and I headed to my parents house in St. George to see Auntie Heather, Auntie Stephanie, Auntie Christine, Uncle Kurt and lots of cousins!  We played a lot of Wii and spent a lot of time in water!  On Friday the 4th, Morag took the grandkids to a fun park near their house for them to play, while some of us girls did a little shopping!

Emmalee and Madelyn having a snack at the park!

Aubrey, Kacee and Camryn playing in the hot tub at Grandma and Papa's pool!  We were able to see some fireworks from my parents back porch and we also did our own fireworks with the kids and neighbors in front of their house.
July 5th we took the boat and jet skis to Sand Hollow in Hurricane.  The kids had so much fun going for rides on the boat and jet skis!  I was surprised at how much Aubrey loved the boat!  I think she was on it all most the whole time we were there!  We only stayed a few hours as the rain rolled in and the wind was blowing everything away!  Here are a few pictures that Laci and Morag took of our day at the lake.

Madelyn and Isabelle getting ready to ride behind the boat!

When Madelyn was riding on the tube behind the boat, the hit a bump and knocked out one of her teeth!  Thank goodness it was a baby tooth!  It is a good thing the Tooth Fairy remembered where Grandma and Papa's house was, this was the second visit she has made there!

Aubrey and Uncle Brian with the boat!

Carson and Katie-bug out for a ride on the boat, Katie is not very photogenic!
On Sunday, Jon drove up with Sean and Megan to spend the day with everyone!  We spent most of the day playing the Wii and eating food!  Thanks to Heather and Stephanie for showing us all how much fun the Wii Fit can be!  There were so many people wanting to play we had two Wii's set up for most of the weekend!

July 8-12, 2008 Girls Camp
I was able to go with the Young Women from our ward to Camp Stimson for Girls Camp.  My parents were able to come and help with the kids, since Madelyn is still in school!  Thanks Dad and Morag for all your help!  Thank you Jon was everything you did while I was gone, you are awesome!

We have been enjoying our pool and the kids love to show off their swimming skills!

Madelyn has really improved her swimming and swim the front crawl very well and is working on the back stroke!

Carson is a little fish!  He loves the water and can swim across the pool and loves jumping in.  Our pool isn't very deep, he can touch on his tippy toes, but it is just right for him!

Aubrey has discovered how fun the pool can be!  When we first filled the pool she didn't want anything to do with it.  I bought some floaties, but those didn't work and she wouldn't even try Carson's life jacket!  When my parents were here they bought her a life jacket of her own and now we can't keep her out of the pool!  She loves to be "free" and even goes under water!

Aubrey put Chloe to bed with her blanket!  It was so cute I just had to take a picture!

Late July 2008
The Table and Chairs are finished! When my parents sold their house they gave us their 6' round kitchen table and 8 chairs.  I have always loved this table and have wanted one similar, but they are hard o find and not cheap.  The table needed some work when we got it and we finally finished it!  There was a time when the table was in two pieces in the garage and a few times when Jon and I both thought it would just end up in the trash, but I was determined to make it work!  I couldn't have done it with out Jon's help and the help of my brother Sean and his tools!!  Also, thanks to Julianne and Andy for painting their table black and inspiring me to do the same!

I think Aubrey took this picture with my camera, but I haven't had a chance to take another, not bad for a 2 year old!

This is what the chairs look like since I painted them back!

July 25-28,2008
Grandma and Grandpa Arnold came for a visit on their way up to Utah!  We went to the Adventuredome at Circus Circus and the kids had a blast.  I forgot my camera so I wasn't able to take any pictures!

Madelyn had her final awards ceremony for the 2007-2008 school year.  Madelyn received awards for perfect attendance and straight A Honor Roll, she had stright A's all year!  Good Job Madelyn we are so proud of you!!

Mrs. Holzworth and Madelyn
Madelyn loves Mrs. Holzworth and is sad that she won't have her next year!  Madelyn even asked her is she would teach next year!  Mrs. Holzworth is an awesome First Grade teacher and Madelyn will miss being in her class!
Madelyn after the ceremony, not very good lighting!

I can't believe how great the table looks. I bet it would look even better if it was all in the picture:) I had forgotten about that project of yours!

I will have to try and post another picture of the table. Maybe if I take it you will be able to see the whole table!
