Madelyn started second grade on Monday, August 25. She is still attending Don E. Hayden Elementary School, home of the Heros. Madelyn is in Ms. Magnuson's class, P5. This year marked a first for her, a portable classroom! Madelyn was less than thrilled to be in a portable classroom, but I think she will adjust to it quickly! She has a small class in which there are only 3 girls, including her! Overall she had a great day and is excited to be back a school and really likes her teacher. She was also excited that she only missed one word on her spelling assessment test, the word she missed was eyelid!
Today was a big day for Aubrey as she headed to meet her preschool teacher, Miss Jackie! Her teacher is not new to us, Madelyn and Carson both had her for their first year of preschool! The theme for this year is Wild About Learning! The classroom was decorated really cute with lots of animals and palm trees, but Aubrey noticed there were no elephants! It was really cute! Aubrey will start actual classes on September 9th!

I found your blog through Heidi's. Isn't Miss Jackie the best? Only 3 girls? That's crazy. There were only 5 in Megan's class last year and I thought that was a small number.
