Recently Jon heard someone talking about how great Wal-mart was at price matching and he thought we should give it a try! Last Saturday was our first time trying this out! Before we went we looked over all the ads to see who had the best deals on the things that we needed and I made notes on a piece of paper so we would know which ad to show at the register.
To our surprise it was so easy! We loaded our cart with the things we needed and then headed to the checkout stand. As we unloaded the items we were careful to put the "normal" items first and the price match items last. As the employee greeted us she saw the ads in my hand and asked if we had items to price match. Once she got to those items I just held up the ad and said how much it was and she entered in the advertised prices! Simple! It only took a few seconds longer than if we hadn't price matched!
I had my second experience of price matching this morning! Again, it was a positive experience, except they didn't have the same kinds of meat that I wanted! When I checkout the employee was very nice about it and I left feeling good about how much I got for what I paid! Now, if I can only wrap my brain around this "couponing" thing then maybe I could be like the lady we saw on wife swap who got $100 worth of groceries for $10!

I think the couponing thing is tough...I have had a hard time doing it. I am not sure my 4 papers I get on Sunday are worth it. I think I may take it down to 1~
Good job on being brave to price match at Wal-Mart...especially on a SATURDAY!!!
I really need to do this.
I need to start doing the couponing thing too. A girl from our Wymount ward saved tons with coupons. She talks about it in her blog. http://monicamccoy.blogspot.com/
Can't wait to see you guys soon!
