We are in the process of finalizing all of our plans for our trip to Disneyland! The kids are so excited and it will be here before we know it! We booked our hotel and will be staying at the Fairfield Inn, not too far from the park! The other night we measured Carson and Aubrey to see if they meet all the height requirements. Carson measured in at 46" and Aubrey is 42" (she had her wedge cherry sandals on)! Carson can ride everything except California Screamin' and Mailboomer. Aubrey can ride everything but Indiana Jones Adventure, California Screamin' and Mailboomer.
Aubrey is tall enough to ride Splash Mountain, but she has already informed us she will not ride it! The Log Ride at Knott's Berry Farm has ruined her! I think she has a problem with going into the dark! Madelyn went through the same phase when she was about this age and let it be known when we went to Disney World and Disneyland! When we went to Disneyland in 2006, she had the worst tantrum when we went to get on the FIRST Ride! It was the Snow White ride! Oh my goodness, you would have thought we had beaten the girl, by the way she was kicking and screaming! Hopefully we will not have the same problem with Aubrey, since there are quite a few rides that go into the dark!
Flashback to August 2004
Disney World Magic Kingdom
During our trip to Disney World, is when we first realized that Madelyn was afraid of the dark! It was rainy outside so we went inside to watch one of the 3D shows. As soon as the lights went out she screamed at the top of her lungs, "I have to go to the bathroom! I have to go to the bathroom!" I picked her up as quickly as I could and stumbled to find the exit in the dark! As soon as we exited the theater she was fine and we ran into Mary Poppins and two of her penguin friends!
