Jon took a few days off of work and we decided to head down to "Razmerry" Farm (as Carson calls it!) to have some fun! We made our way down to LA on Saturday morning and found some good deals at the outlet mall before getting to Knott's Berry Farm.
We were at the park for a four days and it felt like we had the park to ourselves! The first ride Madelyn headed for was ride "Ghostrider" with Dad. Jon forgot how fast that wooden roller coaster was, but Madelyn survived! Madelyn also tried out the Boomerang, which goes forward and backwards! But I think her favorite coaster there is the Jaguar. We all rode the log ride, but Aubrey and Madelyn decided that would be the only time they would ride that ride while we were there! I think it is Carson's favorite ride, between going with Jon and me he must have ridden it 10 or 20 times! Carson and Madelyn must have ridden the kiddie coaster 50 times, but Aubrey wanted nothing to do with it. I tired to take Aubrey on the Camp Bus and she said "me throw up". It was pretty funny!
We stayed two nights at a hotel right across from the Disneyland main gate, although we didn't go to the Disney parks, we did go to Downtown Disney. The kids had fun walking around and seeing all the fun stores. We took the kids to Build-A-Bear and let Aubrey and Carson make a stuffed friend. (Madelyn opted for a watch instead.) It took them longer to pick out their animal than it took to stuff it, name it, and dress it! Carson decided on a cute bear that he dressed as a police officer, named Teddy, and Aubrey chose a black dog, a pink collar and leash and named her Chloe.
Of course we can't go on vacation without some drama and this trip was no exception. On Sunday morning we stopped at McDonald's for breakfast and Carson fell on the play structure and split his chin open. We quickly headed for an urgent care where our insurance company told us to go and thankfully there was no wait. Carson had his chin "glued" shut and we were on our way in less than an hour!
All in all, I think that we all had a fun time and are counting down the days until we go again!
