I had my final exam and another test right in the middle of the kids spring break, so I asked my parents if they would be able to take the kids for the first part of the week so I could study and they were more than willing to help! I met them at our half way point on Thursday after the kids got out of school and they kept the kids until the following Friday when Jon and I were able to go up to St. Geroge for the weekend. I think the kids had the best Spring Break Ever!! Here is what their week with Papa and Grandma looked like:
Thursday night: drive to Aunt Juli and Uncle Andy's on Thursday night (So Papa and Grandma could go to their mission reunion on Friday night)!
Friday: Play with cousins and see Uncle Jason and Aunt Mindy (and the dogs)
Saturday: Play some more, go to Planet Play, celebrate Camryn and Taylor's birthdays
Sunday: watch conference and play with cousins
Monday: Drive back to St. George
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: swim, watch movies, sew, play wii, go to Jumping Jacks, help Papa with the boat, go to the Temple visitors center, and eat lots of yummy food!
Saturday we all went on a hike and the kids ran off some of their energy. On the way home we stopped at Capriotti's for some yummy sandwiches! The kids went swimming and then we started getting ready for Easter. The kids dyed Easter eggs and we attempted to make Martha Stewart's lamb cupcakes! I forgot the big marshmallows for the ears, but the kids were happy with how they turned out!
Sunday the kids woke up and found the Easter baskets the Easter Bunny left for them! We went to church and then came home to find Easter eggs and to eat a really yummy lunch!
I am so thankful for all the wonderful memories the kids will remember forever! Thank you Papa and Grandma!
