Things have been pretty busy around our house, but some of the chaos is about to end. I was first put into the Young Women's Presidency in August of 2006 and then was called to be the President in January 2007. The calling has had its ups and downs and has kept me busy! When Jon's work schedule changed in June I have had to take the kids with me to mutual on Wednesday nights, often times having more kids there then young women! Last night was no exception. The laurels wanted to do manicures, so I opted to have the girls (2 out of 5) come to our house which made things a little easier for me. We had fun snacking and having Sis. Lester (Laurel Advisor) do our nails. At 8:45pm I received a call from our Bishop that he and his counselor wanted to stop by for a visit. Jon was not home yet, so I picked up the phone to let him know the Bishop was coming over and that I thought I was going to be released. While this calling has been a challenge, it has been well worth it. The young women in our ward are so AMAZING, I love them and will miss being with them! The girls have taught me so much and I have grown to love each and everyone of them for who they are! I have seen them grown and learn as they have faced trials in their lives. They have all grown so much in the gospel and have really become like sisters, even the Laurels and Beehives! I appreciate them letting me into their world and being a part of their lives! The best part about being in Young Women's is being able to go to Girls Camp! I have to admit that I love girls camp! I loved it as a youth and I still love it now! There is nothing like it and men you will never understand! I have had this feeling that my release was coming soon, but I don't think that I was ready for it. I know that for whatever reason the Bishop felt this was the time and whatever my new calling will be I know my family and I will continue to be blessed as we do all that we can to serve the Lord.

It's such a sad day when we are released from YW. I know the girls in your ward are really going to miss you. You did a great job Kim. But a new adventure I'm sure is coming your way. I'll do a great job in whatever your new calling is.
love you!
